Asia Cup – Who will win the Cricket Finals on 17th Sep 2023?

The 2023 Asia Cup (also known as Super 11 Asia Cup for sponsorship reasons) is the 16th edition of the men’s Asia Cup. The matches were played as One Day Internationals (ODIs) with Pakistan as the official host. It is held in Pakistan and Sri Lanka, between 30 August to 17 September 2023. The tournament is being contested by 6 teams. Sri Lanka are the defending champions. It is the first Asia Cup to be held in multiple countries, with four matches to be played in Pakistan and the remaining nine matches to be played in Sri Lanka.

The five full members of the Asian Cricket Council are part of the tournament: Afghanistan, Bangladesh, India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka. They are joined by Nepal, who qualified by winning the 2023 ACC Men’s Premier Cup. For the first time, the tournament will be held in a “hybrid format” with the games organized in two countries. All teams will play at least a few games in Pakistan, except for India, who refused to travel to Pakistan due to disapproval from the Indian Government.

Today we will discuss which country would win the Asia Cup Final scheduled on 17th of Sep 2023. We will look at the birth charts of the captains of India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.

India

Captain Rohit Sharma

Date of Birth: 29th April 1987

Place of Birth: Nagpur

Time of Birth: 14:28 Hours

Rohit Sharma is the new star of Indian cricket. His full name is Rohit Gurunath Sharma. At present, Rohit Sharma has made his identity as the opener batsman of the Indian cricket team in ODIs and T20s. Apart from this, Rohit is also known for his batting in Test matches. He is also the captain of the IPL Mumbai Indians Team of Ambani Group. Rohit Sharma is the only player in the world who has scored 2 double centuries in ODIs. Rohit Sharma is known for his brilliant stroke play and ability to hit the ball for a long time. He has played some memorable innings in all three formats of the game – Test, One Day International (ODI), and Twenty20 International (T20I). He is the only player in the world to have scored three double centuries in ODIs, including the highest individual score of 264.

If you look at the above birth chart (cuspal chart) we can see that Sun and Moon are conjunct (Amavasya) which gives him sharp focus as Moon is totally combust by Sun. Moon which represents mind doesn’t waiver as it is completely eclipsed by Sun. Mars which represents sports and energy is placed in the 10th house gaining directional strength and its depositor Venus is also exalted in the sign of Pisces albeit in the eighth house. Mars is also the Yoga Karaka planet here as it owns both the Kendra (4th house -Scorpio) and Trikone Bhavas (9th house -Aries). Competition is seen from 6th house, the depositor of 6th house which is Saturn is getting direct 7th aspect of Yoga Karaka Mars and vice versa thus giving him an edge in winning over competition. We can say that Mars is infused with the energy of Saturn which rules the 6th house of competition. Rohit Sharma has by far a strong birth chart and higher probability of winning the Asia Cup.

Pakistan

Captain Babar Azam

Date of Birth: 15th October 1994

Place of Birth: Lahore, Pakistan

Time of Birth: 08:00 Hours AM (Not Verified)

When Babar Azam notched up his 5th ODI ton against West Indies in his 25th innings in early 2017, he became the second quickest after Quinton De Kock to score five ODI tons. His aggregate of 1306 runs after 25 knocks tallied the highest, beating Jonathan Trott’s numbers. Life indeed has been on fast tracks for Babar Azam. His three consecutive ODI tons against the Windies in 2016 in the UAE were a precursor to his glorious career. On 23 March 2023, he was awarded the Sitara-i-Imtiaz, Pakistan’s third highest civilian award. At the age of 28, he becomes the youngest cricketer ever to get honored with the prestigious Sitara-e-Imtiaz.

Since we do not know the exact time of birth, we have taken house where Jupiter is placed as the Lagna. Here again the Karaka of sports which is Mars is placed 10th from Jupiter.  It may be noted that Mars is debilitated in the sign of Cancer. Again, the depositor of Cancer which is Moon although having directional strength as it is 6th from Sun (Shukla Paksh) is in inimical position as Moon is conjunct with Saturn. Jupiter which is the Significator of luck is hemmed between all its bitter enemies viz. Mercury, Venus and Rahu. Thus, we conclude that Babar Azam has less chance of winning the Asia Cup.

Sri Lanka

Captain Dasun Shanaka

Date of Birth: 9th September 1991

Place of Birth: Negombo, Sri Lanka

Time of Birth: 06:00 AM (Not Verified)

An explosive middle-order batsman, and steady right-arm seam bowler, Dasun Shanaka worked his way into Sri Lanka’s T20 side through several seasons of good performances for Sinhalese Sports Club. Born and educated in Negombo, Shanaka made his T20 international debut against Pakistan in August 2015, but it wasn’t until the following domestic season that he achieved wide acclaim. Batting at No. 4 in an AIA Premier T20 match against Saracens Sports Club, Shanaka struck a Sri Lankan record 16 sixes in an innings worth 123 from 46 balls. That wasn’t even his biggest T20 score of the last week. He had hit 131 off 48 balls against Galle Cricket Club one week earlier.

Again, as we do not have the exact birth time, we have taken Jupiter as the Lagna. Dasun Shanaka has 4 Nine’s in his birth date which gives him a strong Martian personality promising him a super successful sports career. Similar to Rohit Sharma Dasun too has Sun and Moon conjunct which gives him very good focus and absolutely sharp mind. Mars is in trine with Saturn which again bodes well for a successful sports career. Depositor of Mars which is Mercury is hemmed amongst its enemies viz. Moon and Jupiter, thus reducing the power of Mars by a tad bit. Jupiter in the company of his friends Moon and Sun becomes powerful which promises good luck to Dasun. Thus, we conclude even Dasun has a fair chance of winning.

Bangladesh

Captain Shakib Al Hasan

Date of Birth: 24th March 1987

Place of Birth: Magura, Khulna Division, Bangladesh

Time of Birth: 6:00 AM (Not Verified)

Shakib Al Hasan is without a doubt the biggest name to have emerged from Bangladesh cricket circles. Being a genuine all-rounder, Shakib is a vital player in Bangladesh’s line-up. He cracked his first ODI ton against Canada in the tri-series played in the West Indies, just before the 2007 World Cup. He scored a composed fifty and bowled 10 tight overs for 44 runs without a wicket as Bangladesh secured a big win over India. Shakib was ranked No. 1 among the all-rounders by the ICC thanks to his consistency. He took over the captaincy from Mohammad Ashraful and led from the front.

Again, as we do not have the exact birth time, we have taken Jupiter as the Lagna. Here Jupiter which signifies luck factor is conjunct with Rahu which is a big negative for Shakib. Also, Sun and Rahu conjunction is also not a good combination for fame and victory. Mars and Saturn are in Shadastak (6th-8th combination) to each other which is another negative. Thus, the probability of Bangladesh winning the Asia Cup is very Low.

Conclusion:

Thus, we can conclude that India and Sri Lankan captains have better birth charts and would be in the finals. India stands a better chance of winning the Asia Cup. The silent player here is the Rain God (Neptune-Varun Devta) which may play a spoil sport.
