Sun represents Lord Vishnu. He is the giver, I mean he gives to everyone without discriminating whether the person is rich or poor, saint or a dacoit. He is impartial. All celestial planets revolve around sun. Earth depends on Sun for both light and temperature. Sun represents soul in the human body. Sun also represents government, power and authority.

Sun produces great results if placed in 1^st to 5^th house and 9^th to 12^th house. In Houses 6^th to 8^th, it does not produce very good results. Moon, Jupiter and Mars are friends of Sun.
