Know Your Houses -Lal Kitab -5th to 8th Houses

Lal Kitab is a stream of Astrology which gives super importance to Houses. For every chart, a Lal Kitab astrologer considers the first house as occupying the sign of Aries, second house as Taurus, third as Gemini, so on and so forth. Today, I will be discussing the significance and attributes of fifth to eighth houses. My article would be a mix of Hindi and English to bring out the poetic verses of Lal Kitab. While it is true that Lal Kitab dispenses with Raashis and Nakshatras but in the broader context it does refer to their importance at many places. Raashis do have their effect -Malefic if Debilitated and Benefic if Exalted. Some planets in some houses are of Raashi Fal, meaning their result is as per the Raashi they are placed. Example -Moon, Mars and Jupiter in house No. 6 are of Raashi Fal.

5th House

Presiding Lord -Sun:

Ruled over by Sun, this house refers to Jupiter’s knowledge, fame and penance. This house also refers to air, light, sons, grandsons and future progeny. This house also represents knowledge, intelligence, fame, faith and spiritualism. Whenever Sun or Jupiter occupies 10th house, that particular planet completely destroys planets in this house whether friend or enemy. This house also represents right side of heart and right thigh. This house also represents speculative gains from share markets. This house is also the house of creativity. Film industry is also seen from this house. Mercury placed in this house of Sun makes the native most intelligent and good at academics.

Ketu represents son and Mercury represents daughter. Although both Mercury and Ketu are bitter enemies they don’t fight in this house. Ketu is like a Dog and Mercury is like his tail. This house represents enemies, illness and loans. Empty 6th house bodes well for the native. This house is also called the under world and represents Yama or Pluto the God of death. This house even represents animals. One of the remedies to fix this house is to feed the particular animal represented by the planet sitting in the sixth house. Example, Saturn in 6th house then feed Crows, Ketu in 6th house then feed dogs, etc. House No. 2 helps House No. 6. Saturn in House No. 6 adversely aspects House No. 2 and destroys it even though it may be occupied by a friend.

दोनो इकट्ठे चक्की चलती – निचला (धरती) शुक्र माना है।

Presiding Lord -Venus:

Sky is represented by Mercury and Earth is represented by Venus. Both Mercury and Venus are like Potter’s wheel giving all the resources. Whenever Mercury and Venus are conjunct in a birth chart, Saturn becomes benefic. This union of Mercury and Venus in the 7th house gives immense wealth to the native. This house is the house of native’s spouse and also business partner. This house denotes marriage, love, sexual pleasures, urinary troubles, etc. Saturn, Venus and Mercury are exalted here whereas Sun is malefic in this house.
