February 19, 2021 marks the 391^st birth anniversary of Shivaji Bhonsle, popularly known as Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Born in Shivneri Fort, in Junnar Tehsil of Pune, Shivaji belonged to Bhonsle-Maratha clan. He established the Maratha kingdom with Raigarh as its capital. Shivaji was not named after Lord Shiva but from the name of a regional deity – Goddess Shivai. India’s first ever navy in the modern era was built by Shivaji to protect the coast of Maharashtra. The Maratha navy guarded the Jaigad, Sindhudurg and other forts across the coast of Maharashtra. शिवाजी या नावाला कधी उलट वाचलं आहे का? जीवाशी असा शब्द तयार होतो.. जो आयुष्यभर जीवाशी खेळला तो शिवाजी. (This means he was a king of valor who fought all through without caring for his life)

Let us have a sneak peek into his life from an astrological view point.

As one can observe, his Lagna or ascendant or first house is Leo with 10⁰ which is the highest mool trikona degree of Sun. This Lagna gains further strength with the direct 7^th aspect of Lagna lord Sun, Jupiter and Mercury.
