Businessman of the year, CEO of the year, Entrepreneur of the decade -these are some of the awards conferred on Anil Ambani. An MBA from Wharton Business School, Anil Ambani was the sixth richest man in the world with a Net Worth of 48 Billion US Dollars in 2008. Suddenly with the onset of Saturn Maha Dasha, from 2014 onwards his downfall started and in 2019 his Net Worth became mere 500 Million US Dollars. So, what led to his debacle? What are the Yogas in his birth chart which pulled him down? Let’s analyze his birth chart from an astrological perspective.

As can be seen from the above chart Sun and Moon conjunct in the fifth house gave him name, fame, power and also ancestral wealth. But the Moon here although exalted is malefic as it is conjunct with Sun causing Amavasya (No Moon day). Again, Mercury here is very close to Sun making it combust. Mercury is the significator of communication. Hence Reliance Communication was a sure shot failure for him.

Again, if we observe closely, above chart, we can see presence of Daridra Yoga (Yoga for penury or poverty). How is Daridra yoga formed? Daridra yoga forms with multiple combinations. Two of these combinations can be observed in above birth chart.

First Combination:

If the lord of 2^nd house (the house of wealth) or the lord of 11^th house (house of gains) is placed in 6^th house or 8^th house or 12^th house which are the malefic houses. Here Saturn is the lord of 2^nd house placed in 12^th house in the Nakshatra of Ketu -Moola. Again, Ketu and Saturn are staunch enemies.

Second Condition:

Lord of 2^nd or 11^th house is weak or debilitated or aspected by malefics. Here, Mars is the Lord of 11^th house placed in its sign of debilitation of Cancer. Also, Mars is placed in Pushya Nakshatra which is the Nakshatra of his enemy Saturn. Again, to make matter worse Mars is aspected by Jupiter who although is a natural benefic but here it is functional malefic since it rules 2 bad houses -3^rd house the house of struggle and 12^th house the house of expenses. Also, as one can see the Lagna is Capricorn which is a movable sign. For Movable Lagna the Badhkesh is the 11^th house. Here Jupiter placed in Badhkesh house aspecting Mars the lord of gains again is a BIG negative.

Venus which is the lord of 10^th house of profession and work and also the lord of 5^th house which is the house of intellect is ill placed in the Moon’s sign of Cancer. Moon is placed in Venus sign of Taurus. With Rashi Parivartan, Venus reaches 5^th house and Moon comes into the 7^th house. This way Venus gets conjunct with Sun who is her enemy. Thus, we see with poor intellect (5th house is damaged) Anil Ambani took wrong decisions related to his business and profession (10^th house is also damaged). This led to his debacle.
